I know this is a lot of text on the sidebar. Please bear with me, as it'll answer a lot of the questions you might have about me or this tumblr.
I have jellisacs at my house! It’s all the way to the right in my front yard. Only the one so it’s only 3 in one shot but they respawn consistently!
Do those jellisac things have a lifespan like the gardens do? I would hate to take away from your harvesting of them if you’re going to need them later. I suppose I should just get some of my own, really….
Also, I have discovered: I am really annoyed that you can’t throw yourself out of a second-or-third-storey window anymore. HOW ELSE AM I SUPPOSED TO GET TO MY BACKYARD?? WALK DOWNSTAIRS?? I THINK NOT!!
Ugh, I am totally bleary-eyed right now, but it’s totally worth it to get up and make, like, a bajillion new things with my Woodworking skill. SO, A BULLET POINTS LIST OF THINGS I WANT TO SCREAM AT THE WORLD NOW.
» I had to just buy the girders necessary for it (because, fuck, I’m not waiting through learning Metalworking to make them myself) but I HAVE EXPANDED MY HOUSE. I had to make a shitload of wall segments and a fucking door, but I DID IT. Only a few hours after I got Woodworking, too! \o/
» I have bought the pieces for all four machines I needed (so I can stop mooching off inkstone and engagedtone’s machines when I needed to make things), even if I can only use two of them right now. THAT’S OKAY, THOUGH. BECAUSE.
» Hahahaha yesssss I am glad I had some foresight to learn Fuelmaking because I WOULD HAVE BEEN IN A WORLD OF HURT OTHERWISE. Seriously, I had about 2,000+ planks to turn into boards, do you know how much fuel that took? Thankfully, I can make fuel because I learned that skill. And, also thankfully, I’ve been collecting clumps of Jellisac, so I’ve been able to make around 20 fuel cells tonight. That’s actually enough to last me a decent amount of time, I hope?
» HOLY SHIT, GAME NEEDS MORE JELLISACS. You need TWELVE of them in making ONE fuel cell?? I realize that one fuel cell gets you 50 units of work on any machine, but HOLY SHIT THAT IS A LOT. And, of course, everyone is competing for them, ugh.
» I CANNOT FUCKING FIGURE OUT REMOTE ANIMAL HERDING IN THE NEW SET UP. I have my sticks set out, I have my butterflies flying around them, I have my milker set down next to it, I have that skill long since learned (since I had it with the old set up) BUT NOTHING HAPPENS. *throws up hands*

TOP IMAGE: Thanks to engagedtone’s help, I have a bunch more SDBs, which means I could pick up the extra food off my floor, which means HOLY SHIT MY HOUSE IS (almost) CLEEEEEAAAANN. I still have a bunch of music boxes and emblems sitting outside, but the point is LOOK MY FLOOR IS FUCKING CLEAN.
SECOND IMAGE: You guys don’t know how this is torturing me. I only have about 4 1/2 hours left to go on Woodworking and I can’t even use up the last of my Spriggan favor to hurry it the hell up. It’s been like this for the last couple of hours, so I think I may be at the total max I can shave off, which means I can’t do anything to make it go faster, not even when the day resets (which it already has once since I started playing), which means I AM LEFT SITTING HERE TWIDDLING MY THUMBS. THIS IS SO PAINFUL, SOB.
Sigh, okay, I guess I’ll go spam some fanart in the meantime to take my mind off my troubles and also to make sure I win at the tumblr game again today. (Oh, I could go read the manga I checked out from the library. But that would mean I wouldn’t leave it all to the last minute before they’re due back. Can’t have that.)
(p.s. FUCK ALL OF YOU, because part of what I checked out was four volumes of Tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE and I hope you all punch yourselves in the face for me for that.)
So, time to talk about Glitch again. o/ I’m so close to finishing Woodworking that I’m clawing at the walls a bit—I’m down to just under 1d 20hrs! And it won’t actually be that long because I’ll still shave at least a third off of that, I think. But, the closer I get to completing this fucking skill, the more I start to claw at my own face a bit because I JUST WANT TO BE ABLE TO MAKE BOARDS AND POSTS. I NEED TO BE ABLE TO MAKE MORE WALL SEGMENTS.
It’s going to be a nightmare to wait for Metalworking after this, because it’ll be the same ~16 days (pre-shaving it down with favor from the gods) wait and asldkfjalskj I realize that a large part of the fun of the game again is in having so many new things to do! But I just want to be able to do them already!! At least, once I get Woodworking, I should be able to expand my first floor and not have to purchase so many materials for my SDBs.
In the meantime, my floor is still a mess, but LESS of a mess than it used to be. The SDBs aren’t quite lined up properly, but I think I may rearrange them soon—or at least properly group them together. But I can’t tell you how amazing it is to be able to store 9602 chunks of sparkly in ONE LITTLE BOX ugh I love the new style so much just for that.
I’m also just pleased as all get out that you can have both crop and herb gardens in your backyard! I have grown pretty much every kind of herb in multiples! Not that I really even know what to DO with them, now that I have them. :/
One thing that’s kind of killing me (in a bad way) is that I’ve been looking at that forum thread for people’s house designs and some of them are utterly STUNNING. I totally want to be able to make a gorgeous house! I liiiiiive for decorating! I’m even willing to spend money to get a subscription or just straight up buy some credits to decorate with! The problem is that, to get a really gorgeous house, I think you’re probably going to end up needing thousands of credits? EACH SPD IS AT LEAST 10 TO 15 CREDITS TO CHANGE THE STYLE OF. I am going to have, like, a hundred of these fuckers! And that’s not including wanting to change the style of my house, of wanting to get an awesome looking bed, some of those pretty flowery decorations, etc.! I really can’t justify spending $100 or more just for a pretty looking house in a game that I may be burnt out on in six months. Trying to figure out how much I want to spend or not spend is killing a lot of the enthusiasm I have for the game, I have to admit. :/
YOU GUYS DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW I COULD WEEP AT SEEING THIS.
So, because I’ve learned a shitload of skills on Glitch (I only have probably five total left to learn, including Woodworking here), my time for learning the SUPER IMPORTANT Woodworking started out as over sixteen days! SIXTEEN DAYS.
Okay, all right. I can cut down on that some by donating to Spriggan and using the favor to chop time off. I’m lucky to get three of the cycles in per day (I have to sleep sometimes!) and I cut a little under 4 hours off every time. That’s 12 hours/day shaved off, if I’m on top of things.
BUT. That means I have to be constantly collecting fodder to donate! I’ve been walking around the forests that have a lot of piggies and butterflies to gather meat/milk because they’re super fast and I’ve been getting a ton of imagination for them. More imagination means I can buy the upgrades I need. I HAVE BEEN DOING THIS CONSTANTLY FOR THREE DAYS. I donate meat, I sell milk (because I need money to buy more beams and snails and metal rods because HOLY SHIT I NEED STORAGE DISPLAY BOXES!!!), and occasionally I mine rocks. I figure I’m going to need a crapload of metal once I get Metalworking in, so I’m storing that away for later. I’m grinding up sparkly and dullite to make more shrine powder.
Most upgrades aren’t ones I care about that much, but I have expanded my energy tank to over 1,000 again, finally. And I’m down to six seconds for mining, which is annoying, but better than eight.
And, after all this working, FINALLY I AM DOWN TO JUST UNDER FOUR FUCKING DAYS FOR WOODWORKING. If I continue to be lucky, I should finish in about two and a half. Then I can make my own goddamned wood posts and boards instead of having to buy them through auctions. ;__; Thank god I’m saving up wood planks to use for them—I have four wood trees in my backyard already, too. orz
On the bright side, holy shit, I am going to TOWN on my herb garden because I think I had one of every kind of seed (I go through the ancestral place every so often and they give out a lot of seeds there) and I don’t even know what to do with all the Silvertongue I have. orz BUT AT LEAST I HAVE IT.

I noticed they changed a lot of stuff and I’m not sure I really get the new imagination spending thing, but I AM NOT HELPING YOU IF YOU DON’T HELP SAVE ME, TOO.The imagination spending thing is useful for when you want to cultivate your land! And probably add floors to your house? I’ve expanded my front street a little bit so I can add garden and herb (FINALLY) plots as well as a spot for a wood tree. In my backyard, I expanded a bit so I could put down a gas and spice tree. It looks like I can expand much more than that but geez, I need to figure out how to make furniture because the inside of my house is CHAOS! I already have the skill (I kept learning the skills even though I wasn’t playing) so I just need to see how you go about making stuff.
I’m not precisely sure how it affects levels, because I swear I was higher than level 27 before the switch happened, and I’m not sure, do we even still HAVE levels to level up or do you just use imagination to up your skills? Because I think it takes me longer to harvest rocks now than it did before, do I have to redo all those skills to get my time back down again? You can spend imagination to learn skills, I see, and I know I have a ton of imagination saved up, but is that the xp I’ve earned that I’m spending? Will it drop me down levels if I spend it? Or will I still always keep going up, I just have to keep earning more imagination if I want to spend it?
And, ugh, I’m looking at the skills page, you can still learn everything, right? It just takes way longer to learn stuff now because I’ve already completed most of the board? Or will I be punished for knowing everything? BUT I NEED EVERYTHING, OKAY!!! And, sob, I’m not sure I even want to start looking at the houses thing….
How long did it take you to get into Glitch? I put my name in the list like a month ago and still haven’t gotten anything D:
I only had to wait a couple of days, I think? But that was several months ago, before they had a lot more people trying to sign up for the game. If you want, I believe I have a spare code floating around that I can share if you want? :D

I like it, it’s cozy and adorable! And you actually stuck to just one room so it looks better. Oh, man, I was so tempted to store, like, a gajillion bags full of shit in the room above, but even though they said that you’ll keep that stuff just fine, I don’t know why I don’t believe that. I SHOULD store more in there, though….
My first attempt at decorating on the beta testing. It’s fairly boring and I really should have sectioned off rooms better, but I really like the idea of it so far. But, oh, please tell me they’re not going to use only credits for buying the furniture? Because I would have to sob uncontrollably then and you guys don’t understand my absolute need to have the biggest, most ginormous house they’ll let me have!
(I’m also hoping there’ll be more decorations options to come. I appreciate the themes, they’re awesome themes! But I definitely am going to need more variety, guys. p.s. Please let us eventually decorate our yards, too! Any idea if we’ll be able to have more than one style of garden? Because I still don’t have an herb garden, but I don’t want to give up my regular garden, either. And will these changes happen to our house that we already have or will we have to purchase a new one? I’m assuming we’ll still be able to only have the one house?
